Attendees constituted a quorum. The meeting was convened at 6:05 by John Ratzenberger, president.
Welcome from the president
John welcomed board members, and introduced new member, Joanne Oyer, to the board.
He then noted that the bylaws authorized him to nominate Sierra Buffum as a new board member-at-large to be voted on by the full Board. Her qualifications were reviewed and she was unanimously approved.

Former officers and committee chairs will work with new officers to ensure a smooth transition: priority
This year, board leadership will focus on recruiting new members to begin a 2022-2023 succession plan, including reaching out to peers and providing more opportunities for current committee members to lead
Consider adding more support for Beautification Committee chair

I, Tom Benedetto, move that the board adds Joseph Struck and John Ratzenberger as co-signers on our Wintrust account.

Revamp and streamline membership process, determine point person (treasurer?)
Review bylaws as they pertain to boundaries
Social media: send posts to John, consider more posting in general to improve HOLS visibility
Chair to begin bi-monthly check-in meetings with individual board members ?
Tom will continue to be our contact for local law enforcement, could take on additional role as CAPS liaison
Simplify processes overall
HOLS is now using MailerLite for email distribution

Ashlee and Nancy Wade are heading up the local arm of this effort to save the ash trees within the HOLS boundaries from an invasive species
