330 trees in HOLS’ borders
Save Your Ash (SYA) raised approximately $33,000 from private donors to treat almost all of them
SYA has formed a coalition of civic groups to push to renew city funding of ash borer treatment
Requesting $2,700,000 (roughly $60/tree, 45,000 trees, citywide, all neighborhoods must be included)
vs. $45,000,000 to replace with new saplings
Nancy will attend State of the Neighborhood to present
HOLS will provide a letter of support
Proposal (motion: John)
I, John, propose that the board HOLS advocates for the city to fund the ash tree treatments and not leave it to the citizens to fundraise.
